The structure

A series of companies organized around a long view of independent media.

INTERDEPENDENT LLC is the parent operating entity for a group of related businesses in independent film production, audience and distribution platforms, and physical infrastructure. The company is organized as a Delaware Series LLC, with each production held in its own Series and governed by a single Operating Agreement and a published Economic Attribution Policy.

The company is privately held and member-owned. It operates the platforms and the campus directly, and works alongside an affiliated capital entity that finances productions through a separate fund structure.

Objective

The studio system, reborn.

The opportunity is regulatory.

The Paramount Consent Decrees forced major studios to divest exhibition, forbidding any single company from holding production, distribution, and exhibition together; their August 2022 termination restored the possibility for the first time since 1948.

INTERDEPENDENT is mission driven to capitalize on a renewed strategy of Old Hollywood vertical integration alongside the transition from traditional filmmaking to the hyper-scaling of AI-powered global, personalized, independent storytelling.

Operating system

Three brands, two paired entities, one published rulebook.

INTERDEPENDENT operates a studio system for independent filmmakers to produce, market, and exhibit their movies anywhere in the world, under a unique branded identity established by the agreements, green-lighting procedures, production and exhibition standards, and economic attribution policy of its founding documents and seasonal updates (the "Operating System").

The company works together with an affiliated capital entity INTERDEPENDENT Ventures, a Delaware Series LP that invests in productions and related technologies through a separate multi-fund structure.

Together, the two companies are organized as a "dual-entity" venture studio. Each underlying venture sits in its own Series under Delaware's Series statute, with assets and liabilities legally isolated.

Each participating contributor — capital partner, producer, screenwriter, director, department head, cast or crew — is documented as an associated member with a defined economic interest. Allocation, distribution, and decision rights are governed by the Operating Agreement and the Economic Attribution Policy.

Three brands surface the architecture to audiences and partners.

Governance

Audience is King.

Every independent filmmaker must gain traction with audiences along a pre-defined, event-driven green-lighting process for INTERDEPENDENT Ventures to invest fund capital.

This means opening up the studio to direct audience engagement, in-person and online, in the screenplay, director attachment, casting, and preview production process as we package and present potential film projects for their consideration.

Gathering proven success indicators from actual audiences on real projects in development frees INTERDEPENDENT from relying on pre-existing IP, the star system, or other less reliable metrics — resulting in a pipeline of more original screenplays and fresh talent worldwide while remaining risk-averse.
